LRI is not-for-profit non governmental organization registered at the Lebanese Ministry of Interior under no 1186/16 June 2014. LRI started in 2010 as a project funded by USAID and managed by the US Forest Service International Programs. Since 2010, LRI team supported the planting of more than 850,000 native tree seedlings across the country, made improvements to the native seedling production sector and contributed substantially to best practices in reforestation, fire prevention, forest management, quarry restoration and climate change resilience. The NGO works all over Lebanon in five main program areas: Landscape management, Climate Change Resilience, Outreach and capacity development, advocacy and R&D.
