Description | El Pantanoso, ubicado en la provincia de Jujuy, en el norte de Argentina, se extiende a lo largo de 4.416 hectáreas de exuberantes Selvas Nubladas de Montaña. Esta reserva privada resguarda uno de los ecosistemas más amenazados del país, el piso inferior de estas selvas: la Selva Pedemontana. En sus bosques habitan especies amenazadas como el jaguar (Panthera onca), el tapir (Tapirus terrestris), el pecarí labiado (Tayassu pecari), majestuosas águilas y el imponente roble criollo (Amburana cearensis). Además, en este rincón de biodiversidad nacen afluentes del Río Piedras, cuyas aguas no solo sostienen la vida en comunidades humanas río abajo, sino que también riegan una de las zonas agrícolas más fértiles de Argentina. |
